Apple Event Logo Teases Hidden iPhone 17 Pro Features

Apple announced its iPhone 17 event yesterday, set for Tuesday, September 9, 2025, with an interactive Apple logo presented on its website that ripples in thermal gradient hues blending blue orange and red.

As noted by MacRumors, the visual effect closely resembles a thermal map which fuels speculation about two possible new features of the flagship iPhone 17 Pro models, including new eye catching finishes and a first ever advanced cooling system.

Reports swirling around suggest that orange and dark blue will join the traditional black white and gray as color choices for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The event image showcases shades matching those rumored finishes implying that Apple may be teasing these new options.

At the same time, the logo’s thermal visual design could be a playful nod to the inclusion of a vapor chamber cooling system in the Pro models, a technology that would better manage temperature under heavy use. Such a cooling method is already used in rival devices like the Galaxy S25 Ultra but would mark a first for Apple iPhones.

Earlier reports also suggest that the iPhone 17 series likely comprises four models: the base iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, and the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. The ultra thin iPhone 17 Air is expected to take center stage and replace the Plus model in the series.

Other rumours include improvements to camera hardware with expectations of a triple 48 megapixel rear setup a 24 megapixel front sensor and a redesigned wider camera array spanning the width of the device.

Additional enhancements reportedly include 35 watt wired charging, Qi2 wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and up to 12GB of RAM.
