Upcoming iOS 26.0.1 to Fix Camera Glitch on iPhone Air, 17 Pro
Apple is expected to release iOS 26.0.1 update soon to resolve camera glitches on iPhone Air and 17 Pro models caused by very bright LED lights, according to MacRumors.

Citing an anonymous source, the report notes that the update is expected to carry a build number such as 23A350 or something close to it, and should address the image corruption issue affecting the latest iPhone models.
The camera problem first came to light in a review by Henry T. Casey of CNN Underscored. He reported that photos taken at a concert using either the iPhone Air or iPhone 17 Pro Max showed “small blacked-out portions” and some bright white squiggles.
Apple responded saying the issue emerges in “very rare cases” when an extremely bright LED light display shines directly into the camera. That problem is acknowledged by Apple as a bug and the company says a fix is coming in a future software update, which now appears likely to be iOS 26.0.1.
At present, there is no official release date from Apple for iOS 26.0.1. Given that the new iPhones are set to launch imminently, the fix is believed to be a high-priority item for Apple to resolve quickly. Outside of the camera error, it is not yet clear whether iOS 26.0.1 will include other tweaks, stability improvements or enhancements.
Apple has already shipped watchOS 26.0.1 for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 which enabled satellite connectivity in Mexico, showing that small updates for recent devices are already underway.

For reference, iOS 26 itself was publicly released September 15, 2025, bringing Apple’s “Liquid Glass” design overhaul together with numerous new features for iPhone users. Users of the affected models are hoping the update will arrive soon to prevent further issues when taking photos under challenging lighting.
