LG to Launch UltraFine evo 6K Monitor in Canada in November, Pre-Orders Open Oct 10

LG is launching its UltraFine evo 6K monitor in Canada next month. The world’s first 6K monitor with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity will enter the market, offering the connectivity and resolution that creators and professionals will undoubtedly crave.
LG’s UltraFine evo 6K (model 32U990A) sports a 32-inch 6K HiDPI display with a pixel density of 224 PPI. The company states that the display covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space and 99.5 percent of Adobe RGB, ensuring accurate image reproduction in both photos and video editing. The UltraFine evo 6K is also VESA DisplayHDR 600-certified.
LG has developed the display to be optimized for Mac devices. The latest display builds on the foundation of the LG UltraFine series, which grew in popularity over its 5K displays for Mac. The UltraFine evo 6K has already won an award at CES 2025 and the iF Design Award 2025.
The UltraFine evo 6K offers 2.56 times more pixels than a UHD 4K (3,840 x 2,160) monitor. When paired with another, the displays can be used in unison, offering a substantial workspace of nearly five times a single UHD 4K monitor.
The display has minimal bezels running along all four sides of the display. It also offers an ergonomic tilt system and pivot adjustments, so depending on your desk setup, you can work for longer without distress on your neck. The pivot system lets you also work within the vertical format, in case you’re editing Instagram Reels or TikTok videos.
Leveraging Thunderbolt 5 technology, the multi-monitor setup can be facilitated via daisy-chaining, streamlining a standard workflow. The display can also work as a professional hub with built-in KVM switching and multi-port connectivity across Mac and Windows-based systems. Thunderbolt 5 compatibility unlocks integration within the Mac ecosystem, ensuring users can transfer data faster and more reliably.
With Thunderbolt 5, the UltraFine evo 6K offers faster speeds for SSDs, eGPUs, and other devices. It supports up to 120Gbps unidirectional data transfers. Thunderbolt 5 offers transfer speeds three times faster than Thunderbolt 4, supporting real-time 4K rendering and transfer of 8K RAW video files. This makes the UltraFine evo 6K a great option for content creators or professional video editors who commonly transfer their files between devices or SSDs.
Pre-orders for the UltraFine evo 6K are available now. The monitor will begin shipping in November.
