‘Just Dance Now’ Launching on LG Smart TVs in Canada—No Console Required

LG and Ubisoft are bringing the popular music-based video game Just Dance Now—with over 135 million players worldwide—directly to LG Smart TVs.
For the first time, players won’t need a console or extra controllers. Using only the LG Magic Remote, the TV’s motion-sensing technology can accurately capture dance moves for a smooth and responsive experience.
Canada will be among the first markets to debut a beta version of the game this December (along with France and the UK), available through the LG Gaming Portal on LG Smart TVs running webOS 22 or newer, explained an LG spokesperson to iPhone in Canada on Thursday. The full launch will follow in other regions shortly after.
“We are committed to evolving the LG Gaming Portal into the ultimate gaming destination,” said Chris Jo, head of the webOS Platform Business Center at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, in a statement to iPhone in Canada. “By working with leading partners like Ubisoft, we are continuously expanding our selection of game titles and advanced features to offer a variety of immersive gaming experiences on LG Smart TVs.”
Just Dance Now offers access to more than 500 chart-topping songs, including an exclusive in-game map for the viral hit Money Pull Up. The early beta coming for Canadians will let you sample three songs on the first day, then one song daily after, during the two-week beta trial.
The official trailer for the collaboration will premiere during Paris Games Week 2025.
