Nintendo Store App Now Available on iOS and Android

The Nintendo Store app is available to download on iOS and Android, giving players a way to browse for and make purchases from the palm of their hands.

Nintendo released its free-to-use app, offering players the means to interact with the eShop ecosystem while away from their console and not using a web browser. The app allows users to browse Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems, purchase physical or digital games and complete purchases through the My Nintendo Store.

In addition, the app page states that users will be able to “stay up-to-date with the latest news.” It’s unclear how much different this may be from the Nintendo Today app; however, it appears as though some news will be fed through the new app for users.

In addition, the Nintendo Store app will be able to notify you when items on your Wish List go on sale. Plus, you can use the app to check in at official Nintendo stores and events and earn related rewards. Check-in activity is also available within the app.

One of the most novel features of the Nintendo Store app is being able to see the play activity of games. Within the app, you can browse through Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U play data. You can see play activity logged before February 2020 for the latter two systems. It’s a nice way of reflecting on the games you’ve played within the Nintendo ecosystem over the years.

Nintendo has been building out a stable of mobile apps on the App Store and Google Play. The Nintendo Store app joins the likes of the Nintendo Switch App, Nintendo Today, and Nintendo Music app.
