Unboxing the OnePlus 15: Triple-Chip Power and 7,300 mAh Battery Revealed

The OnePlus 15 is here and we have share some unboxing pictures, which again is the company’s familiar red box.
Inside, the phone (in Sand Storm) is the first thing you see, wrapped in paper and with an included screen protector already applied (why don’t other companies do this?). Underneath are the accessories: an 80W SUPERVOOC charger, a red USB-C cable, documentation and a USB-A to USB-C adapter, Also available separately is the Arachnid carbon fibre magnetic case with a textured finish.

The OnePlus 15 runs OxygenOS 16. On the side is the new Plus Key, which brings up quick shortcuts. The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 1,800 nits of brightness in high brightness mode and can go as low as 1 nit. It’s TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certified, and includes an Eye Comfort Reminder and Eye Comfort Mode during gaming.

Inside, the phone uses a triple-chip setup that includes the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, a dedicated touch-response chip with 3,200Hz sampling, and a separate Wi-Fi G2 chip.
The phone’s cooling system, called the 360° Cryo-Velocity Cooling System, uses a 5,731mm² vapor chamber, an aerogel insulation layer, and a graphite back cover to spread heat evenly.

Powering the device is a 7,300mAh Silicon NanoStack battery, the largest in a consumer smartphone in the U.S. and Canada, touts OnePlus. It supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. There’s also a Bypass Charging mode that powers the phone directly without heating the battery. The battery is rated to maintain over 80% capacity after four years of use and functions in temperatures as low as -20°C.

For durability, the OnePlus 15 carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust, water, and high-pressure jets.
