AirPods Pro 2 offer improved active noise cancellation, a new Adaptive Transparency mode, and better overall sound quality compared to the first generation. They use Apple’s H2 chip for more efficient processing and support Personalized Spatial Audio. The case includes Precision Finding and a built-in speaker.
Compared to the newer AirPods Pro 3, the latter delivers superior active noise cancellation, enhanced sound quality with better bass and more detailed highs, and longer battery life (up to 8 hours with ANC on) compared to the AirPods Pro 2, which has slightly more mids emphasis but shorter playback time. Additionally, the Pro 3 add heart rate tracking and an IP57 dust/water resistance rating, making them a worthwhile upgrade over the Pro 2’s IP54 rating for most users. AirPods Pro 3 also cost $329 though.
