RBC, DoorDash Extend Free DashPass to More Canadian Cardholders
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and DoorDash have today announced they are making DoorDash’s DashPass subscription free for a wider set of RBC cardholders and Avion Rewards members.

Through this enhanced program, eligible RBC credit cardholders, and those in the Avion Rewards loyalty program, can unlock DashPass benefits, including no delivery fees and reduced service fees on qualifying orders.
Under the revised offer, all Avion credit cardholders as well as users of the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard will now qualify for 12 months of complimentary DashPass, a benefit valued at about CAD $120. For other eligible RBC credit cards, the free period is doubled to six months (previously three), representing roughly CAD $60 of value.
Meanwhile, Avion Rewards members who do not carry an RBC credit card are being offered two months of free DashPass, a CAD $20 benefit. In addition to the free subscription, all eligible RBC cardholders will receive a CAD $10 credit to put toward their next eligible DoorDash order.
However, that credit must be redeemed within 28 days after activating DashPass, and it applies only to orders with a subtotal of at least CAD $25 (before taxes and fees). There are certain restrictions too: not all RBC cards are eligible, and users who already had DashPass recently may not qualify again immediately.
Kevin Rose, Vice President of Everyday Rewards at RBC, said the bank is “pleased to deepen” its relationship with DoorDash. He noted that this expanded offer builds on years of customer demand, as many cardholders already enjoy the benefits of DashPass.

Since the original program launched in 2021, RBC cardholders have redeemed tens of thousands of DashPass-enabled orders, DoorDash says, demonstrating how a credit card rewards program can be paired with local commerce to drive real value.
