Koodo and Virgin Plus Shake Up Their Black Friday Plans: What’s New

Telus’ flanker brand Koodo is starting to warm up its plans for Black Friday, lowering prices and adding more data to select plans, while its Bell-owned rival Virgin Plus is doing the same.

Here’s what we’re seeing today from Koodo, with prices dropping $5 and data increasing for its two entry Canada-wide plans:

  • $40/50GB (was $45/10GB)
  • $50/70GB (was $55/60GB)
  • $75/100GB

There’s now a 40GB jump for the entry plan and the $55 plan is now $5 cheaper with 10GB more data. The previous $40/40GB plan has been eliminated. These changes come just three days ago when Koodo first started marketing “Black Friday” deals.

As for Virgin Plus? It has also tweaked its Black Friday plans that first debuted on November 14:

  • $40/40GB (was 10GB) + 10GB bonus data
  • $45/60GB (was $55) + 10GB bonus data

Virgin Plus has removed the $50/40GB plan.

As of writing, Fido’s plans remain the same, but expect changes soon to match its rivals (of course):

  • $45/10GB with 10GB data bonus and $0 hotspot promo
  • $50/40GB with 10GB data bonus and $0 hotspot promo
  • $55/60GB with 10GB data bonus and $0 hotspot promo

Official Black Friday kicks off next week on November 28, 2025. We might see plans change even more as we approach that date.
