Telus Customers Have Just Weeks Left to Claim Settlement Voucher
Telus customers in B.C. and Alberta can now file claims in a long-running class action over the company’s old call set-up billing practices. Claims first opened in June of this year, but the December 6, 2025 deadline is coming up fast, and vouchers will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
The settlement was approved by courts in both provinces and involves up to $3.7 million that Telus must put toward $10 vouchers, legal fees and a $125,000 charitable donation. Telus will also cover up to $100,000 in expenses plus taxes. The company isn’t admitting fault as part of the agreement.
Eligible customers can claim a $10 voucher that works at Telus corporate stores for accessories or post-paid devices. It cannot be used toward phone, internet, TV, or security bills. Once the total settlement amount is used up, no more vouchers will be issued.
You may qualify if you lived in B.C. or Alberta and had a Telus cellphone plan between:
- January 21, 1999 – April 2005 (prepaid)
- January 21, 1999 – April 2010 (postpaid)
To get the voucher, you need to submit a claim before the December 6 deadline at callsetupsettlement.ca. If you don’t file, you simply miss out, as nothing happens automatically.
