Apple Plans Store Updates in Europe, Canada, and India

Citing a source familiar with the matter, MacRumors is reporting that Apple is preparing a series of updates to its physical retail footprint, impacting locations across Spain, Canada, and India.

The report claims that the flagship store on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona will temporarily close beginning February 2026 in order to undergo renovations. Meanwhile in Montréal, the current Sainte-Catherine Street store is slated to relocate in mid-January to a new heritage building at the northeast corner of Rue Saint-Catherine and Rue de la Montagne.

At the same time Apple is expanding its presence in India by opening a new store in Noida.

The Barcelona store closure is part of a refurbishment plan that will allow Apple to refresh its retail environment on one of the most prominent shopping avenues in the city. The temporary shutdown will likely affect regular visitors and customers, though the company has not yet specified how long the renovation will take.

In Montréal, the relocation signals a shift toward a more historic and architecturally rich setting. The new store will occupy a 125-year-old heritage building, giving Apple’s retail presence in Québec a distinctive, refined character compared with its previous urban retail outlet.

Meanwhile across the globe, Apple is adding a new retail store in India as part of its rapid expansion in the region. The upcoming store in Noida at the DLF Mall of India will mark the company’s fifth retail outlet in the country. The grand opening is scheduled for December 11 at 1 p.m. local time.

For customers and Apple enthusiasts in Barcelona and Montréal the upcoming changes may temporarily disrupt store accessibility but may result in refreshed, modernised spaces. For users in India, especially around Noida or the National Capital Region, the new store offers more direct access to the full range of Apple hardware and services.
