Chatr vs Lucky Mobile vs Public Mobile Plans: What’s New in Dec. 2025

If you’re looking for the best prepaid wireless plan in Canada, choices from the Big 3 telecom players here include Chatr (Rogers), Lucky Mobile (Bell) and Public Mobile (Telus).
Here are prepaid plans from these carriers in December 2025. Note that Black Friday deals have come and gone (they were lukewarm, really), but we may see deals return for Boxing Day.
All plans below include unlimited nationwide calling and texting:
Chatr
- $28/3.5GB
- $29/25GB
- $39/60GB (10GB bonus included for 24 months)
- $47/80GB
- $149/year with 30GB
Lucky Mobile
- $19/500MB
- $28/3.5GB
- $29/25GB
- $39/70GB (includes 10GB bonus)
- $47/80GB
I don’t know what Chatr and Lucky Mobile’s marketing teams are thinking when it comes to numbers like 3.5GB and $47 pricing.
Public Mobile
- $20/1GB 4G Canada
- $25/4GB 4G Canada
- $30/8GB 5G Canada
- $35/10GB Canada-US-Mexico 5G
- $40/60GB Canada-US-Mexico 5G
- $50/80GB Canada-US-Mexico 5G
- $60/100GB Canada-US-Mexico 5G
A lot of you have mentioned to us in the past that we should include No Name Mobile into the prepaid mix, which runs on the Bell network and is available at No Frills. Their plans include Canada-US calling and offer more data than the carriers above, but Public Mobile’s 5G plans have US and Mexico data roaming.
No Name Mobile (Bell network) with Canada-US calling:
- $19/2GB
- $24/5GB
- $29/30GB
- $34/60GB
- $40/85GB
- $50/110GB
So what’s the best plan? If you’re looking for a basic plan under $30 per month right now, the $29/30GB plan from No Name Mobile would be good for most people. You get calling (including US) and more than enough data, unless you’re streaming everyday for hours.

PC Mobile is a better choice than No Frills as it offers up to 10% points back.
Chatr $149 a year is 2.5gb for $12.42 a month. Great deal.
No frills = Maxi in Quebec
