Freedom Mobile Just Slashed Prices on Boxing Week Plans

Freedom Mobile has tweaked its bring your own device plans for Boxing Week, putting more pressure on Rogers, Telus, Bell and their flanker brands. The company launched their Boxing Week deals one week ago, but today they have ramped up further bringing discounts.

Check out the Freedom Mobile Boxing Week deals below with Roam Beyond data ($34 and $39 plans are one-time allotments):

  • $34/10GB + 1GB Roam Beyond
  • $39/70GB + 10GB Roam Beyond
  • $40/100GB (was $49) + 15GB Roam Beyond
  • $50/150GB (was $59) + 25GB Roam Beyond
  • $60/200GB (was $69) + 30GB Roam Beyond
  • $70/250GB (was $79) + 35GB Roam Beyond

The $40 and higher plans require a minimum 3-month committment. They also include an ongoing $9/month Bring Your Own Phone credit. To keep this, you need to activate a new line or switch to an eligible Canada–U.S.–Mexico plan (100GB or more) during the promo period.

The $9 credit starts before tax in your first month and continues as long as you stay on an eligible plan with your own phone. The credit can’t be combined with most other offers, and you’ll lose it if you change to an ineligible plan or upgrade your phone. If you’re not eligible in a given month, that month’s credit is lost and can’t be recovered.

Would have been more interested if they had done similar discounts to the $34 and $39 plans.

I chatted with an agent last night and was able to get the $40 100 gb plan for $30 for 10 months.

Was your chat with the retention department, or are you a brand new customer? I've heard it's best to go to a Freedom Mobile store instead of online.
