What’s New on PS Plus in January 2025

PlayStation has officially revealed the lineup of free games that will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in January 2026, offering a mix of racing action, creative adventure, and exploration experiences.

Members of the Essential tier can start claiming these titles from January 6 and will have until February 2 to add them to their libraries.

Need For Speed Unbound | PS5

Leading the January lineup is Need for Speed Unbound, the high energy racing game from Criterion Games that first launched in 2022. This entry in the long running franchise places players in the driver’s seat on stylish street courses where speed, precision and customization matter.

The game assigns both single player and multiplayer campaigns, encouraging racers to build their skills, collect vehicles and take on thrilling challenges across vibrant urban environments.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed | PS4, PS5

PlayStation Plus members will also gain access to Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed. This title brings a colorful and imaginative platforming adventure to both PS4 and PS5 consoles. Players control Mickey Mouse as he journeys through Wasteland, a forgotten world filled with beloved and obscure Disney characters.

What sets this remake apart is its use of paint and thinner mechanics that let players shape their environment. Using paint restores beauty and harmony while thinner opens up new pathways and reveals hidden secrets.

Core Keeper | PS4, PS5

Rounding out the January offerings is Core Keeper, a sandbox adventure that emphasizes exploration and creativity. Available for both PS4 and PS5, Core Keeper invites players into a subterranean world full of resources, relics, and mysteries to uncover.

Participants can harvest materials, craft tools, and build bases while leveling up skills and battling formidable foes. The game supports cooperative play for up to eight people, making it a great choice for friends who want to journey together through sprawling underground caverns.

Subscribers who haven’t yet claimed December’s titles still have time to do so before they are replaced. Lego Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3 and Neon White will leave the lineup on January 5, providing a last chance to add them before they exit the Essential catalog.
