Tim Cook Earned Over $74 Million in 2025
According to Apple’s most recent proxy filing with regulators, Tim Cook received more than $74 million dollars in total compensation for 2025 as the company’s CEO (via MacRumors).
While the figure represents a slight dip from the previous year, Cook remains among the best paid leaders in corporate America.
In the detailed breakdown of his compensation, Cook’s base salary stayed at $3 million, a level he has maintained since 2016. The largest portion of his earnings came from stock awards tied to performance and long-term shareholder value. These awards alone were valued at around $57.5 million.
Performance based cash incentives added about $12 million, while other forms of pay including security services, retirement contributions, travel and personal benefits brought his total close to $74.3 million.
The value of Cook’s compensation was modestly below his 2024 package, which was reported at roughly $74.6 million. That earlier figure was itself lower than a peak seen in 2022, when Cook’s pay pushed near $100 million driven by larger stock grants.
Apple’s latest filing shows that Cook’s actual compensation exceeded the target set by the board, which had pegged total pay at around $59 million for fiscal 2025. Strong financial results and robust growth in key product lines likely contributed to higher incentive payouts.
Beyond Cook’s income, the proxy statement also sheds light on how other top executives at Apple were rewarded last year. New chief financial officer Kevan Parekh, who took over from long serving finance chief Luca Maestri in 2025, earned more than $22 million. Senior operations and engineering leaders such as Jeff Williams, Sabih Khan, and John Ternus each received compensation packages in the $20 million range.
