iPhone 16 Deal: Rogers and Fido Restock Certified Pre-Owned Models for $665

Rogers and Fido have restocked certified pre-owned iPhone 16 (128GB) models, offering the phones at a discounted outright price.

Both carriers list the devices as being in “like-new” condition, which they describe as minimally used phones that look and function like new. The phones are available in black and pink only.

The outright price is $665.76, the same price that was last available in November. By comparison, the newer iPhone 17 currently sells for $1,161 outright from both Rogers and Fido.

To get the discounted price, customers must select “No Term” during checkout and choose a plan. On Fido, the cheapest option is the $19 basic plan, while Rogers offers a $15 satellite plan or a $20 talk and text plan. The plan can be cancelled after the phone is received but of course you’ll be paying for the phone’s full price upfront.

These certified pre-owned phones are typically lightly used with few battery cycles. However, some customers have reported receiving devices with higher battery cycle counts, in some cases up to around 100 cycles. Phones can be returned if the condition is not acceptable.

Shipping no longer is free and costs $25, but customers who activate online avoid the $80 connection fee.

The iPhone 17 brings a significant display upgrade with a larger 6.3-inch ProMotion screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and an always-on mode, whereas the iPhone 16 is limited to a 6.1-inch 60Hz display. Also, the iPhone 17 doubles the base storage to 256GB and features an improved 18MP Center Stage selfie camera and a 48MP ultrawide lens for substantially better photo detail.

Looking at Facebook Marketplace, prices for a new iPhone 16 are still going for about $750 to $1000 depending on condition. Here, you can buy a certified refurbished device you know will work and also not have to meet up in a sketchy area with cash.
