Leak Confirms Samsung Galaxy S26 February 25 Release Date
After weeks of speculation, a high-profile leak has confirmed that Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy Buds 4 lineup are set to debut on February 25, 2026.
The news comes from prominent leaker Evan Blass, who shared what appears to be an official Galaxy Unpacked teaser on X. While the venue remains a mystery, though rumors point toward San Francisco, the date is now a “formality” for tech enthusiasts tracking the South Korean giant’s every move.
The Galaxy S26 lineup will likely follow the familiar trio format: the standard Galaxy S26, the S26 Plus, and the top-tier S26 Ultra. While the base models are expected to feature modest design tweaks, including a new “camera island” on the back, the S26 Ultra is the real star of the show.
Early reports suggest the Ultra will be slightly thinner at 7.9mm and feature curvier corners than the boxy S25 Ultra. Under the hood, we are looking at a massive performance jump with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (or the 2nm Exynos 2600 in some regions). Power users will also be happy to hear that the Ultra might finally break the 45W charging barrier, moving to a faster 60W wired charging system.
There is also a significant shift in storage strategy. Samsung is rumored to be doubling the base storage of the standard S26 to 256GB. While this is great news for users, it may result in a price hike for the entry-level model, similar to what we saw with Apple’s iPhone 17. Surprisingly, some leaks suggest the Ultra model might actually launch at a slightly lower price than its predecessor in certain markets to stay competitive.
The Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro are also getting a major facelift. Moving away from the sharp, triangular stems of the Buds 3, the new models will adopt a flatter, more compact aesthetic. One of the most interesting new features leaked is “Head Gestures.” This would allow you to accept a call by simply nodding or decline it with a shake of your head.
It looks like a big year for Samsung as they lean harder into AI features and more refined hardware to compete with the latest from Apple.
