Civilization VII hits Apple Arcade: Huge AAA strategy game arrives today

The wait is over for strategy fans as Sid Meier’s Civilization VII Arcade Edition officially launches today on Apple Arcade. First teased in mid-January, the award-winning franchise brings a full AAA PC gaming experience to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
In this new mobile version, players take control of legendary historical leaders to build cities and lead armies. The game has been optimized for mobile with intuitive touch controls, allowing you to manage diplomacy or wage war while on the go. It joins other recent heavy hitters on the service like Cult of the Lamb and PowerWash Simulator.
The strategy epic is not the only new arrival today. Apple has also released three other titles to round out the week:
- Retrocade: A nostalgic collection for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. It features old-school classics like Galaga, Asteroids, and Bubble Bobble.
- Felicity’s Door: A new musical rhythm adventure.
- I Love Hue Too+: A psychedelic puzzle game focused on colour and perception.
All four games are available now for Apple Arcade subscribers, offering a mix of modern strategy and retro thrills. Who’s going to spend today playing Civilization VII on iPhone, iPad or Mac?
