Nintendo Marks Super Mario 40th Anniversary With MAR10 Day Deals

Nintendo is celebrating 40 years of Super Mario and the upcoming April 1 theatrical release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie with several weeks of discounts and events. These sales are live now from retailers including Amazon.ca.
Game and Hardware Discounts
From March 5 to 12, Canadian retailers are offering physical Nintendo Switch games at reduced prices. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Super Mario Party Jamboree are priced at $59.99 CAD. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Mario & Luigi: Brothership are available for $54.99 CAD, while Mario vs. Donkey Kong is $44.99 CAD.
The Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition bundle is also on sale for $89.99 CAD, marking the first official discount for a Nintendo Switch 2 title. Additionally, the 256GB Samsung microSD Express Card for the Switch 2 is discounted to $59.99 CAD. Digital sales on the Nintendo eShop run through March 15, featuring titles like Super Mario Maker 2 for $56.94 CAD.
Movie Tie-ins and In-Store Events
To promote the new film, Nintendo of Canada will host booths at select Cineplex theatres from March 6 to 8 and April 3 to 4. Visitors can play Nintendo Switch 2 games at these locations. Between March 5 and 31, customers who buy any Mario game at EB Games will receive a free keychain wristlet.
Selected EB Games, Walmart, Best Buy, and London Drugs locations are also offering in-store demos of the Nintendo Switch 2 to allow families to test the hardware before buying.
Digital Content and Rewards
Nintendo Switch Online members can access several classic titles starting March 10, including Mario vs. Donkey Kong for Game Boy Advance, alongside Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis for the Virtual Boy.
Players of Mario Kart World can participate in a weekly race series this month to earn 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points. Nintendo is also offering a new 7-day free trial for the online service, available even to those who have used trials in the past.
