Apple has released iOS 26.4 beta 4 and more today for developers. Here’s what’s available to download right now:

  • Xcode 26.4 beta 3 (17E5179g)
  • iOS 26.4 beta 4 (23E5234a)
  • iPadOS 26.4 beta 4 (23E5234a)
  • macOS 26.4 beta 4 (25E5233c)
  • tvOS 26.4 beta 4 (23L5234a)
  • visionOS 26.4 beta 4 (23O5235a)
  • watchOS 26.4 beta 4 (23T5236a)

Based on the latest breakdown of iOS 26.4 beta 4, here are the key new features and changes discovered, as noted by iDeviceHelp’s (someone is faster than zollotech and Brandon Butch?!) hands-on video:

  • Emoji Integration: The 2026 emoji set is now fully functional within the keyboard. You can now view and send the distorted face, fight cloud, landslide, orca, and trombone icons. We told you about the new emojis earlier–click here to check them out.
  • Reduce Bright Effect: A new toggle has been added to the Display & Text Size menu. Formerly called “reduce highlighting effect,” this setting softens the flash that occurs when interacting with buttons and menus.
  • Measure App Toggle: You can now manually switch between Imperial and Metric units directly within the Measure app settings, providing more flexibility for international users.
  • System Refinement: The update carries a build number ending in “a,” which indicates that the software has reached a high level of stability and a public release is imminent.
  • Performance Polish: Early testing shows a noticeable improvement in animations and overall fluidity, particularly on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, compared to previous beta cycles.

The download size for iOS 26.4 came in at 1.28GB for the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

We should expect the final release of iOS 26.4 soon, likely in the next week or two, especially with the iPhone 17e launching this week and more.
