Marshall Launches Kilburn III Portable Speaker in New Brown Finish

Marshall has officially expanded its portable audio lineup with the release of the Kilburn III in a new Brown colourway. Launched today, March 10, the neutral finish joins the existing Black and Cream options with design inspiration drawn from vintage recording studios and guitar wood.
The Kilburn III is priced at $479.99 CAD and is available through Marshall’s website and select retailers starting today.
The standout feature of the Kilburn III is its 50-plus hours of portable playtime. It supports quick charging via USB-C, where a 20-minute plug-in provides up to eight hours of playback while a full charge takes approximately three hours.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the speaker carries an IP54 rating to make it resistant to dust and water splashes. It also doubles as a power bank to allow users to charge their phones via the back panel while the music is playing.
The speaker utilizes a 360-degree sound system to deliver consistent audio regardless of where the listener is standing. Internally, the unit houses a 4-inch woofer and two 2-inch full-range speakers powered by a 30-watt Class D amplifier for the bass and dual 10-watt amplifiers for the higher frequencies.
Wireless connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast and Multipoint support, though a 3.5 mm AUX input remains available for wired connections. Signature tactile brass knobs for volume, bass, and treble are located on the top panel for manual adjustments.
Marshall speakers are designed in Sweden and made in Thailand. It’s definitely a cool retro looking speaker.
The Kilburn III weighs 2.8 kg and features a replaceable lithium-ion battery to extend the overall lifespan of the device. Approximately 38% of the product is constructed from recycled materials.
