‘Life’s Still Unfair: Malcolm in the Middle’ Returns April 10 on Disney+ Canada

The official trailer for the long-awaited Malcolm in the Middle revival is finally here. Titled “Life’s Still Unfair,” the four-part limited series event is scheduled to premiere on April 10 on Disney+ in Canada.
The new story picks up more than a decade after the original series ended. Malcolm, who has spent years trying to distance himself and his young daughter from his chaotic family, is forced back into the fold when Hal and Lois insist he attend their 40th anniversary party. It’s amazing that the original cast is back for this except for Dewey (he retired from acting in 2010 and is currently studying at Harvard).
Most of the original cast is returning for the event, including Bryan Cranston (Hal), Frankie Muniz (Malcolm), Jane Kaczmarek (Lois), Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Francis), and Justin Berfield (Reese). While Emy Coligado returns as Piama, the role of Dewey has been recast with Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.
New faces joining the family include Keeley Karsten as Malcolm’s daughter, Leah, and Vaughan Murrae as Kelly, the youngest of the siblings.
Original series creator Linwood Boomer returns as writer and executive producer, while Bryan Cranston also serves as an executive producer. Ken Kwapis, who directed many of the show’s most iconic episodes, returns to direct all four parts of the special. Check out the trailer below:
For those looking to catch up before the April premiere, all 151 original episodes are currently available to stream on Disney+.
