Yesterday Apple surprised everyone by announcing ‘new’ AirPods Max 2, which now includes its H2 chip, bringing over audio features found from the latest AirPods Pro.
Besides the chip upgrade, nothing else changed from the design and the colours, except for a $20 price increase in Canada, now starting at $799.
If you want the previous AirPods Max with USB-C, it’s currently on sale right now for $449 on Amazon.ca, which is the best price we’ve seen so far in a long time. This is lower than the previous sale of $599 by $150, so it’s rivalling new AirPods Max listings you’d see on Facebook Marketplace (and you don’t need to deal with fakes).
AirPods Max 2 and the H2 chips brings Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and 1.5x improved noise cancellation. I’m not sure if that’s worth paying $800 for.
This $449 AirPods Max deal may sell out quickly so it’s one of those buy first, ask questions later type of deals. Good luck.
