Toronto’s annual celebration of fandom is nearly here once again. Toronto Comicon 2026 returns this week, bringing three days of comics, cosplay, celebrity guests, and pop-culture panels to downtown Toronto. The event runs from March 20 to March 22, 2026, taking place at the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
For longtime attendees, the show has become something of a seasonal ritual. It’s one that signals the slow transition from winter into convention season and is an event I attend each and every year. Toronto Comicon is a space where tens of thousands of fans gather for a weekend devoted to comics, movies, anime, gaming, and more.
This year’s lineup includes several recognizable faces from film, television, and video games. Among the headline guests is Cary Elwes, best known for his roles in The Princess Bride and Saw. He’ll be joined by actors like Steven Ogg, widely recognized for his work in Grand Theft Auto V and The Walking Dead, as well as Mara Wilson, who many remember from Matilda.
The convention is also bringing in the trio behind GTA V, including Ned Luke, Shawn Fonteno, and Ogg, who are taking the time for photo opportunities and panels that are sure to draw crowds from the gaming community ahead of the release of GTA VI.
Beyond the celebrity stage, comic book fans will find plenty to explore. Comic artists Tom Grummett and Brenda Hickey are expected to appear on artist panels and autograph sessions throughout the weekend, offering insight into their work and the broader comics industry.
As always, the convention floor will be packed with activities. Fans can meet creators during autograph and photo sessions, and browse a massive exhibitor hall filled with comics, collectibles, and fan art. I’m always a massive fan of strolling through artist alley, picking up unique prints to hang on my living room wall. There are also ample opportunities to attend celebrity Q&A panels, screenings and more. Some standouts include:
- 25th anniversary screening of Shrek (March 22 @ 2 PM)
- 35th anniversary screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (March 20 @ 6 PM)
- Screening of Ted Season 2 (March 20 @ 6 PM)
- Screening and sing-along of Kpop Demon Hunters (March 21 @ 11:30 AM)
Cosplay remains one of the biggest draws. Throughout the weekend, fans can show off their costumes, take photos, and participate in meetups celebrating everything from anime to classic comic characters. Gaming demos and community gatherings round out the programming, making it easy to spend an entire day wandering between panels and the show floor.
Show hours run from 10 AM to 7 PM on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, Toronto Comicon closes its doors early at 5 PM. Tickets are available now through the official website, with single-day admission and multi-day passes available depending on how deep you want to dive into the weekend. Single-day tickets start as low as $30.
