Pokémon TCG Pocket is getting ready to launch its next expansion for the mobile game. On March 25, the Mega Shine expansion will be made available to all players.
Announced by The Pokémon Company and DeNA Co., the Mega Shine features a variety of Shiny Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards to collect. This includes the Shiny Mega Gengar ex and Shiny Mega Charizard X ex cards.
“Sow spectral chaos with a sparkly, Shiny Mega Gengar ex, set the battlefield ablaze with Shiny Mega Charizard X ex, and more with this new expansion,” the company says in a blog post. In a short reveal trailer, we’re also shown many other shiny versions of cards, including Ponyta, Dragonair, Zorua, and Pineco. Other non-shiny cards will be available as well, including a full-art Empoleon.
Aside from some new arrivals, The Pokémon Company announced that a Slowpoke drop event will begin in April. Additionally, Wonder Pick events focusing on Gastly and Wigglytuff are also planned. A Community Week event, where players are awarded accessories and hourglasses if they trade and share with friends, is also in the works.
The Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Shine expansion is launching on March 25th at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
