Ring Unveils First 4K and 2K Battery Doorbells: 2026 Canada Pricing

Ring video doorbell pro battery 2nd.

Ring has announced a major upgrade to its doorbell lineup, marking the first time the company has brought ultra-high-resolution 2K and 4K video to its battery-powered models.

The move gives homeowners more flexibility for installation without sacrificing the video quality usually reserved for hardwired units, explain a spokesperson to iPhone in Canada on Wednesday.

Leading the new high-end options is the Battery Video Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen). This is Ring’s most advanced battery model yet, featuring Retinal 4K”video and up to 10x enhanced zoom. It also features a redesigned architecture for faster charging, which helps manage the power demands of 4K video. It is priced at $349.99 CAD.

In addition to the Pro model, Ring is launching three new Retinal 2K doorbells to hit different price points:

To help keep the battery models running longer, Ring is also launching new solar accessories. A new Ring Solar Charger is available for $69.99 CAD, while an upgraded Ring Solar Panel is priced at $84.99 CAD. Leveraging solar makes it much easier to have a battery powered doorbell.

All of the new hardware includes a free trial of Ring AI Pro. This service adds intelligent video search, motion descriptions, and an extended 180-day video history. Ring says these new battery powered doorbells and solar accessories will release on April 29, 2026, but you can pre-order all of them today.
