Apple Releases Critical 18.7.7 Security Update for Older iPhones and iPads
If you have an older iPhone or iPad, Apple has just released a newer version of iOS and iPadOS 18.7.7.
Back on March 24, Apple released iOS 18.7.7 version 22H333. But this latest build, version 22H340, is a critical security update to close the DarkSword tool vulnerability, which was discovered by Google security researchers.
The updates are available for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and the 7th-generation iPad, as well as all newer devices that have not yet upgraded to iOS 26.
You can update your device by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
