How to Adjust Snooze Duration on iPhone

Apple has just shared a new support video on its YouTube channel, detailing how starting in iOS 26, you can adjust the snooze duration for alarms in the Clock app on your iPhone or iPad.

For years, iOS users could not change the default snooze duration of nine minutes, a feature already available to Android users for quite some time. Whether you needed a quick two-minute nudge or a longer fifteen-minute buffer, you were locked into Apple’s specific timeline. However, this long-standing quirk is finally being addressed in iOS 26 and iPadOS 26.

To adjust the snooze duration in the default Clock app, simply navigate to the Alarms tab and select a specific alarm to reveal a new “Snooze Duration” menu. From there, a simple scroll-and-tap interface allows you to set their preferred time. Once saved, that specific alarm will respect the new duration, providing a more tailored waking experience.

This change is part of a broader trend in recent iOS versions, where Apple has slowly opened up customization options that were previously “walled off.” From Lock Screen widgets to home screen icon placement, the company is giving users more agency over how they interact with their devices.
