Dyson is launching a brand new product line ahead of the warm weather. The new HushJet Mini Cool is a portable (and wearable) fan that delivers hours of reliable airflow to cool you off.
The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool is a handheld fan engineered to give up to six hours of airflow. At a behind-closed-doors demo, I got to see the HushJet Mini Cool in person. The device is a small handheld, a bit taller than a can of Red Bull, measuring 38mm and weighing only 212g. Despite its size, it packs a punch with stable, consistent airflow to provide relief whether you’re out walking or sitting at a desk.
In actuality, the engineering behind the HushJet Mini Cool is pretty fascinating. The device provides up to 6 hours of airflow from its small fan, powered by its 5000mAh battery. The HushJet Mini Cool is powered by a DC motor that spins at up to 65,500 RPM and delivers up to 25 m/s of airflow. The constant stream of airflow is then funnelled through the HushJet nozzle, focused on the user.
The HushJet Mini Cool offers five airflow modes. This includes a Boost mode that ramps up airflow. In my demo, I got to test it myself and walked away pretty astonished that, despite its size, the HushJet Mini Cool can quickly cool you off. The airflow is so stable and constant that it could propel and keep a ping-pong ball up in the air. Not surprisingly, the HushJet Mini Cool is very quiet, too. Dyson is leveraging its knowledge, having developed many air purifiers.
What stands out about the HushJet Mini Cool is the multi-functionality. The portable fan is designed not only to be carried in your hand but also to come with a lanyard accessory. So, you can wear the HushJet Mini Cool around your neck and point the nozzle upwards. This frees up your hands entirely if you’re out shopping or running errands on an especially warm day. The HushJet Mini Cool also has a flat base so it can be placed on a desk or table.
Dyson is also selling optional accessories, such as the Universal Mount and Grip Clip, so you can fasten the HushJet Mini Cool to a stroller, jacket, bag, etc.
Dyson is launching its HushJet Mini Cool in three distinct colours. This includes ‘Colbalt/Ink’, ‘Carnelian/Sky’ and ‘Stone/Blush’. The colour options fit well within Dyson’s design philosophy, making either choice a nice addition. HushJet Mini Cool launches for $99.99 USD (around $136.99 CAD). Dyson confirmed with us it will launch in Canada in May 2026.
