Bell Unveils ‘Bell GPCanada’ as New Face of Montreal’s F1 Race

Bell has officially introduced ‘Bell GPCanada’ as the new brand identity for the promoter of the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada. This move marks a shift in how the event is managed after Bell took over operations back in 2021 from Octane Racing Group.

The new group is based in Montréal (where Bell is headquartered) and functions as an independent team within Bell. They hold the official agreement to manage and promote the race, which remains a massive driver for the city’s economy and its international profile.

To change how fans keep up with the action, Bell is leaning into its media ownership. TSN, RDS, CTV, and Crave will stay on as the official broadcasters, but the company is also rolling out more original digital content and on-site reporting during race weekends. They also plan to use Bell’s network tech to support the experience for people attending the event in person.

While Apple has exclusive broadcasting rights to Formula 1 in the U.S., Bell Media has the rights in Canada through 2035.

Looking ahead to the 2026 Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada, the goal is to keep the event growing while ensuring it continues to support local businesses and the community. “This unified identity strengthens Bell’s leadership and presence across the Grand Prix,” said Mirko Bibic, President and CEO of BCE and Bell Canada, in a statement on Tuesday.

The next Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada is scheduled for May 22–24, 2026, at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montréal, Québec.
