Heroes: A Video Game Symphony is making a couple of stops across Canada throughout 2026. Following shows across the United States, in France, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Armenia, Heroes: A Video Game Symphony is stopping in Montreal and Toronto.

On May 20th, Heroes: A Video Game Symphony will be held at the Place Des Arts – Maison Symphonique. Later this year, on September 17th, the symphony will then play The Bowl at Sobey’s Stadium. Ticket information for both shows can be found on the official website.

Heroes: A Video Game Symphony is described as the brainchild of Jason Michael Paul, founder of JMP Entertainment. Michael Paul is the producer and creator of the first Final Fantasy concerts, as well as the 25th-anniversary concerts for The Legend of Zelda and The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses.

The latest is a narrative-focused symphony that explores the hero’s journey in video games. The symphony incorporates music from critically acclaimed and beloved gaming franchises like The Elder Scrolls, Prince of Persia, Baldur’s Gate, Diablo, Assassin’s Creed, God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Fallout, Halo, and many more. While the music is conducted by a live orchestra, projections and sequences are projected onto a larger screen in the auditorium for the audience.  Narration will be conducted by Nigel Carrington, a BAFTA-nominated narrator whose voice can be heard in Dear Esther.

“The selection goes beyond instant recognition, Michael Paul says. “It aims for an emotional interpretation of video games – their cultural impact and their ability to tell stories that transcend generations and platforms.”

During the Toronto performance, Heroes: A Video Game Symphony will feature Akira Yamaoka, the composer, producer, and performer of Silent Hill, Contra, and Snatcher. Those who purchase a VIP ticket will get the chance to meet Yamaoka.
