Wealthsimple at its ‘Takes Over Your Life’ event happening right now in Calgary, has just announced a new perk for customers that involves a deal on Telus phone plans.
The new promo means 35% off global and North American phone plans, part of an exclusive deal negotiated with Telus, set to debut in their new partner marketplace.
“For generation clients, that means an unlimited global plan will now be as low as sixty dollars. And that’s just one of the offers live today, with more on the way.” Now, it’s worth noting Generation status requires a minimum of $500,000 in either net deposits or total assets across all your Wealthsimple accounts.
The next slide showed off numerous other partners, including Apple’s logo, so stay tuned for that. We’ve already seen the company offer Apple product perks for transferring over accounts or balances.
Update: Wealthsimple has shared more details on the Telus deal. Generation clients get 35% off 5G+ plans for 24 months for bring your own device customers. You get 300k Telus points and it’s also eligible for family and bundle discounts ($7.50/line discount for 2 lines; $10/line discount for 3 lines; $15/line discount for 4+ lines). You also get 24 months of an Apple Watch plan for free.
Premium clients get 30% off and 60k Telus points and 3 months of free Apple Watch plans. Core clients get 25% off and 30k Telus points.
