Sonos’ App is Currently Unavailable on iPhone and Mac App Stores

Sonos’ app is currently unavailable for download and installation on iOS and macOS. The app has dissapeared from the respective App Stores for an unknown reason overnight.

The Sonos app has suddenly become unavailable, as first reported by MacRumors, and the reason remains a mystery online. According to the Sonos status page, the company has “identified a problem with the Sonos App availability in the iOS / Mac App Stores and are working on a solution.” This statement was posted at around 5:54 AM ET/2:54 AM PT, as the issue spun up overnight.

As of the time of writing, the app’s URL displays an error message: “An error occured.” When performing a manual search for the app, no results are displayed on iPhone or Mac. Until the issue is solved, those looking to install the app on an iPhone or Mac product may be left waiting, as there doesn’t appear to be a workaround.

The support page indicates there is an outage affecting the Sonos Account. It remains to be seen how long it’ll take for Sonos to solve the issue at hand.

Sonos has had a long run of issues with its app since it was refreshed in 2024. The company has spent two years attempting to fix the app, add quality-of-life improvements, and win back a user base that has distanced itself from Sonos’ software. In February, Bloomberg reported that Sonos had planned an overhaul of its app to include Live Activities support.
