Donkey Kong 64 Swings Onto Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on June 4

Nintendo has announced the long-awaited arrival of Donkey Kong 64 on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The game will be available to subscribers starting next week on June 4th.
Donkey Kong 64 is a fan-beloved 3D platformer that was first released on the N64 in 1999. The game was developed by Rare and has since been regarded by many as the best Donkey Kong title. It’s one of the major N64 titles to have utilized the N64’s Expansion Pak add-on, which comes full circle, as the name of Nintendo’s online subscription that gives access to N64 Classics.
“Join Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong, and Chunky Kong as they fight to keep DK Island safe and sound from K. Rool and his Kremling crew,” the trailer’s description reads. “Climb, swim, and jump with each of the five Kong members through treacherous and puzzling areas while taking advantage of their special abilities and upgrades.”
Donkey Kong 64 also introduced fans to the now-iconic DK Rap. The song plays during the game’s intro and has become an earworm for so many players over the decades since its release.
The latest addition to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack fills out a growing roster of titles. The Nintendo Classics library expands with the likes of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Luigi’s Mansion, Forsaken 64, Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
An annual subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is available for $63.99 in Canada. Additionally, Nintendo offers a 12-month Family Membership, including up to eight accounts, for $99.99.
