New AI Siri Compatible Devices: Supported iPhone, iPad and Mac List
Apple has shared new details about the rollout of its next-generation Apple Intelligence platform, including availability, device support and regional restrictions.
The company says the latest Apple Intelligence features will be included at no additional cost with its upcoming software releases and will support all of the languages currently available for Apple Intelligence.
However, some features that rely on powerful cloud-based AI models, including advanced image generation tools, will have daily usage limits.
Apple says users who need additional access can increase those limits through most iCloud+ subscription plans. The company also noted that iCloud+ plans will include Apple Intelligence support for compatible home security cameras.
Apple confirmed that the new Apple Intelligence update will support the same devices that currently support Apple Intelligence today.
Some advanced capabilities, including the company’s most powerful on-device AI model, expressive voices and enhanced dictation features, will be limited to Apple’s most capable iPhone, iPad and Mac hardware. This means an iPhone Air or iPhone 17 Pro, an iPad with an M4 chip or later and at least 12GB of memory, or a Mac with an M3 chip or later and at least 12GB of memory.
One of the biggest announcements is the launch timeline for Siri AI.
Apple says developers can begin testing the new Siri immediately, while a public beta release is planned for later this year.
The company described Siri AI as a major evolution of the assistant, bringing conversational interactions, visual intelligence, personal context awareness, writing assistance and deep integration across Apple’s apps and services.
Apple also confirmed some regional limitations.
Siri AI will not be available at launch on iPhone and iPad in the European Union. Apple says it is still working to find a solution that preserves its privacy and security standards while complying with regional requirements.
In China, Siri AI and the broader set of new Apple Intelligence features will not initially be available as Apple continues working through regulatory approvals.
Apple says the latest Apple Intelligence release represents a major step in its broader effort to integrate AI throughout its operating systems, making devices more personal, useful and capable while maintaining a privacy-focused approach.
The company then shifted its attention to developers, teasing new tools and technologies that will allow third-party apps to take advantage of many of the new AI capabilities.
