How to Watch Nintendo’s June 9th Direct and What to Expect

Nintendo is hosting a new live-streamed Direct presentation today, June 9th. The broadcast will then be followed immediately by a Nintendo Treehouse event.

The company has confirmed that a Nintendo Direct will be held today, continuing the weekend-long Summer Game Fest festivities. Online, Nintendo said, “Join us on June 9 at 7 am PT for a Nintendo Direct followed by Nintendo Treehouse: Live!”

The Nintendo Direct is said to be approximately 50 minutes long and will “highlight upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games”, making it a sizeable presentation for the company. The Nintendo Treehouse will then be even longer, lasting around 95 minutes. This event is said to be “showcasing gameplay of select titles featured during the Nintendo Direct.”

Aside from announcing that the dual presentations will focus on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games, the company hasn’t revealed what may be shown during the live stream. Instead, we’re left to speculate on what may be shown.

For instance, Nintendo has some marquee games slated to release in the near future. This includes Star Fox, a remaster of the classic Star Fox 64 developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is expected to finally be given a release date. FromSoftware’s Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, is also expected to be shown. Previously announced games like Splatoon Raiders and Rhythm Heaven: Groove may also make an appearance.
