This iOS 27 Keyboard Feature is a Game Changer
A quiet but a much-requested new feature has surfaced in the stock iOS 27 keyboard, and it targets a daily user frustration that has lingered for over a decade. Starting in iOS 27, users get one-tap clipboard shortcut directly into the stock keyboard typing bar.
For generations, moving text, links, or images from one application to another on an iPhone has required an awkward physical dance. You had to tap the text field, wait for the tiny cursor to stabilize, double-tap or long-press the screen, wait for the horizontal pop-up menu to slide into view, and then carefully press the word paste.
In iOS 27, the moment you copy something to your clipboard, the system automatically detects the content. Instead of hiding that information until you summon it, the stock keyboard now generates a dedicated shortcut button right inside the predictive text bar, which sits just above the top row of letters.
If you copy a web link from Safari, a snippet of text from a Note, or an image from your photo library, a visual preview button appears on the bar. Dropping that content into a text message, email, or search box now takes a single tap.
Because the software is still in its earliest developer preview, the feature does hit a few performance snags. For early beta testers, the predictive paste bar appears to work well in Mail, Messages, and Instagram. However, it regularly fails to recognise copied clipboard content when switching over to WhatsApp or Gmail, forcing a temporary retreat back to the traditional double-tap method.
Apple will likely iron out these minor integration bugs over the summer. The company is on track to release a public beta of iOS 27 in July, with a stable, finished version rolling out to the general public this coming September.

I wish they would move or give the option to move the period from beside the space bar in safari! I’m always hitting that instead of space :-/
