Meta Just Launched Its Own Smart Glasses. Here’s Canadian Pricing.

Meta has officially unveiled its own line of AI glasses, and for the first time, it’s not using the Ray-Ban or Oakley name to do it.

The new lineup, called Meta Glasses, comes out of a partnership with EssilorLuxottica (which owns Ray-Ban and Oakley) and includes three frame styles: the Adventurer (classic rectangular shape); the Fury (bolder and more pronounced frame); and Meta Glasses by Kylie, (slim oval design) made in collaboration with Kylie Jenner, marking her first move into wearable tech.

In Canada, pricing for the Adventurer and Fury start at $409 CAD, undercutting the second-gen Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer by $110 CAD. The Kylie Jenner edition costs more at $549 CAD, partly because it comes with some extras, including a metal nose pad designed to resist makeup smudging and the option to set Jenner’s own AI-generated voice as your assistant (if that’s something you really want).

Across all three styles, you get the same core hardware from Meta: a 12MP camera, 3K video capture, open-ear speakers, and a multi-mic array, along with over 8 hours of battery life and a charging case good for up to 40 hours more. There are 26 different colour and lens combinations available between the styles, including clear, sun, polarized, and Transitions lenses, and all three support prescription lenses.

The bigger upgrade is on the software side. Meta Glasses are the first to launch with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, the company’s newest multimodal AI model. Meta says this version gives sharper answers, better understands what you’re looking at, and rolls out live translation support for 14 new languages, including Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi, and Korean.

Meta Glasses are available now in Canada through Meta.com and will soon hit Amazon.ca.
