Apple Invited App Gets Cohosting Perks in Latest Update

Apple’s niche Invites app has recieved a neat update this week. Now, two or more users can plan and manage an event together.

The latest update to the Invites app now allows more people to create and manage event plans together. Prior to this, only one person could manage the event, placing the weight of the organization on them. Now, multiple people can plan the event, whether it’s a party, a breakfast out, or an outing.

In addition, Apple notes that new event backgrounds are available. These can help “set the mood” when planning the next coffee date with friends, ice cream social or even a boba run.

Hosts can now choose to make invited guests visible to all attendees. This is a nice little perk for guests, so they can see who has confirmed they will attend the event before making their own RSVP.

Finally, Appl has provided “bug fixes and performance improvements” in the latest update.

Apple’s Invites app first launched in 2024 on iOS. It is also available to use via iCloud. The app is less widely adopted simply because there are so many event-planning apps. It’s also fairly niche compared to Apple’s other core services. That said, the ability to organize and plan an event within Apple’s ecosystem is nice and intuitive.
