Rogers is Handing Out 500 Free Blue Jays Tickets on June 30
To celebrate Canada Day and the historic 50th season of the Toronto Blue Jays franchise, Rogers is giving away 500 free tickets to the highly anticipated Toronto Blue Jays game on July 1 through surprise pop-up locations.
Rogers has announced a massive ticket giveaway. The telecom giant is giving away 500 free tickets to the upcoming July 1 game at the newly renovated Rogers Centre stadium.
The highly anticipated matchup on Wednesday will see Canada’s team take on the New York Mets at 3:07 p.m. This game marks the final matchup of a three-game series, and it is drawing massive interest because former Blue Jays star player Bo Bichette will be making his highly publicised return to Toronto in a visitor uniform.
If you want to grab a pair of these tickets, you will need to act quickly on Tuesday, June 30. Rogers is organizing three surprise pop-up locations across the Greater Toronto Area throughout the day. At each of these secret physical locations, the first 75 eligible people in line will win a pair of tickets. This means 225 pairs of tickets will be handed out in person on a first-come, first-served basis.
To make the event a bit more nostalgic, fans who secure tickets at the pop-ups will get to sit and have their photo taken in authentic, vintage seats saved from Exhibition Stadium. This is the memorable venue where the Blue Jays played their very first game in franchise history back on April 7, 1977.
For fans who cannot make it out to the surprise physical locations, there is still a small alternative option. An additional 25 pairs of tickets will be distributed through an online giveaway on Instagram. The full details, specific times, and exact locations for each of the physical pop-ups will be revealed on the official Rogers Instagram account starting early at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
However, there is a specific catch to this massive giveaway. This promotion is not open to the general public. To qualify for a pair of free baseball tickets, you must prove that you are an active Rogers customer.
When you reach the front of the line, you must show a functional wireless device connected to the active Rogers cellular network, a physical Rogers Red Mastercard, a smartphone with the MyRogers app actively logged into a valid account, or a physical hard copy of a recent Rogers utility bill.
