Meta Developing ‘Pocket’ App for Vibe Coding Games

Meta is developing a brand new app called Pocket on the App Store and Google Play Store. The app is designed to allow users to create small interactive games and apps using AI-based prompts.
The app was first discovered on the Play Store by reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, as first reported by TechCrunch. Sharing screenshots and information on the app, Pocket lets users “Make and share gizmos.” If that at all sounds familiar to you, this is because Meta acquired vibe-coding gaming service Gizmo earlier this year, and it would seem Pocket is the child of this acquisition.

Screenshots of the app shown on the Play Store landing page highlight many similarities to Gizmo. This includes using AI prompts to build interactive games as well as offering a Discovery feed to find other creations made by the community. “Pocket is a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” the page says. “A gizmo is a small interactive thing you can tap and play with… and you can make a gizmo just by describing it”
It’s noted in the original report that Appfigures discovered that Pocket first launched on June 29th, 2026, on the App Store and Play Store. However, Meta has not discussed the app’s existence in any official capacity. It appears that Pocket may still be in a testing phase, and Meta will discuss the app once it’s available for wider distribution.
Meta has been investing quite heavily in AI-powered apps. Of course, this includes its own Meta AI app as well as Vibes, which lets users create AI videos. Other apps like Edits and Instagram support AI features.
