Apple TV+ Unveils August Friday Night Baseball Schedule
Apple and Major League Baseball (MLB) have officially locked in a packed August schedule for Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders streaming exclusively on Apple TV+.
The mid-August broadcasts are shaping up to be the absolute crown jewels of the summer. On August 14, fans will get a high-profile matinee battle when breakout star Jordan Walker leads the St. Louis Cardinals against three-time All-Star Alex Bregman and the Chicago Cubs.
Later that same evening, the broadcast transitions into a high-stakes American League East showdown. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the defending American League Champion Toronto Blue Jays will take on the New York Yankees in a highly anticipated rematch of their historic 2025 Division Series.
The momentum continues directly into late August with another massive double-header scheduled for August 28. To kick off the night, the New York Yankees will play host to the Boston Red Sox, writing the newest chapter in arguably the greatest and most bitter rivalry in baseball history.
Immediately following that historic clash, the Toronto Blue Jays return to the streaming spotlight for another postseason flashback. They are scheduled to face off against Julio Rodríguez and the Seattle Mariners in a high-octane rematch of the 2025 American League Championship Series. The month will also feature prominent appearances by other top-tier contenders, including the American League East-leading Tampa Bay Rays.
Behind the scenes, Apple is bringing back its highly praised broadcast teams for the fifth consecutive season to ensure top-tier production values. Play-by-play announcer Wayne Randazzo will team up with analyst Dontrelle Willis and sideline reporter Heidi Watney for one set of games. The second broadcast booth will feature Alex Faust handling play-by-play duties, alongside analyst Ryan Spilborghs and sideline reporter Tricia Whitaker.
The programming will be available through the native Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, and the Apple Vision Pro headset, as well as a variety of third-party smart TVs, gaming consoles, and streaming sticks.
