Apple Cuts Price of Its Notorious Polishing Cloth by Nearly 50% in Canada
Looks like Apple is offering customers some relief on pricing today, as it has slashed the price of its infamous $25 polishing cloth by nearly half in Canada and beyond.
Apple launched its $25 polishing cloth for cleaning displays back in 2021 and it was widely ridiculed for its outrageous price. “Made with soft, non-abrasive material, the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture, safely and effectively,” explain the website.
Apple’s Polishing Cloth works with roughly 150 devices, covering every iPhone since the iPhone 5, most iPads back to 2013, every Apple Watch ever made, and four displays. But notably absent: Vision Pro, the Mac mini and Mac Studio, all Intel MacBook Pros with a Touch Bar, and iMacs from 2016 through 2018.
Well today, the price of the polishing cloth has dropped to $13, down from $25. Should we chalk that up as a win for consumers? Maybe. But for $1 more, you can get a dozen glass cleaning cloths on Amazon instead of just one cloth with the Apple logo on it.
