For years, users who wanted Samsung’s highest-grade mobile hardware were forced into buying giant devices. The Galaxy S27 Pro looks set to change that formula. The leaks reveal a phone that mirrors the design language of the flagship Ultra, but shrinks the screen down to approximately 6.6 inches. This narrower and shorter footprint makes the device much easier to operate comfortably with one hand.
However, there is one critical omission separating the S27 Pro from its larger sibling: according to the leaked renders, Samsung has left out the built-in S Pen stylus.
Beyond its physical dimensions, the most striking aspect of the Galaxy S27 Pro is its completely redesigned rear camera island. Instead of individual lens cutouts protruding directly from the back glass, Samsung appears to be adopting a continuous horizontal camera bar across the top.
While early fan reactions online remain mixed, the design shift serves a practical purpose. A full-width camera bar eliminates frustrating desk wobble when the phone lies flat, creates room for larger optical sensors, and provides space for improved internal cooling components.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to pack serious performance. Reports suggest Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme processor will power the device in most regions, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and storage options reaching 1TB. In select international markets, Samsung may opt for its in-house Exynos 2700 chip.
On the optics side, rumors point to a powerful rear camera layout headed by a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, paired with a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto sensor.
Powering the device is an estimated 5,200mAh battery. Samsung is expected to achieve this high capacity within a thin 7.95mm chassis by utilizing advanced silicon-carbon battery technology. This higher-density battery chemistry allows for greater power storage without forcing the phone to become bulky or heavy.
Industry analysts expect Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S27 series in late February 2027, likely just ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC).
