Nvidia Blows Past Expectations with $96.2 Billion Revenue in Q2 2027

Nvidia has reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, delivering staggering top-line revenue of $96.2 billion. The figure represents a 106% increase compared to the same period last year, and an 18% jump over the previous quarter.

GAAP and Non-GAAP quarterly financials in a two-section table showing Revenue, Gross margin, Operating expenses, Operating income, Net income, and Diluted earnings per share for Q2 FY27, Q1 FY27, Q2 FY26 with Q/Q and Y/Y changes (amounts in millions).

The massive surge was once again driven almost entirely by Nvidia’s Data Center business. Segment revenue reached an unprecedented $89.0 billion for the quarter, reflecting a massive 117% growth year over year and an 18% gain sequentially. Demand for hardware tailored to frontier AI models and large-scale enterprise deployments shows no signs of slowing down.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang highlighted the structural shift currently transforming computing across cloud platforms, governments, and enterprise labs.

“AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue. And demand is accelerating. This time last year, one lab alone was driving the buildout; today, we have a golden age of new AI labs and startups, multiple frontier labs scaling in parallel, a thriving open-model ecosystem and physical AI coming online with strong momentum across the U.S. and around the world.”

The company recorded GAAP gross margins of 75.0% for the quarter, while operating income hit $63.7 billion, representing a massive 124% surge compared to the previous year. GAAP net income came in at $59.7 billion, translating to diluted earnings per share of $2.46.

The tech giant returned approximately $26.0 billion to shareholders through stock buybacks and cash dividends during the three-month period. Nvidia announced its next quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share, scheduled to be paid on October 1, 2026, to all shareholders of record as of September 10, 2026.

Looking ahead, Nvidia issued an optimistic outlook for the third quarter of fiscal 2027. The semiconductor pioneer expects revenue to land around $108.0 billion, give or take 2%.
