Samsung has officially expanded its Galaxy S26 lineup with the new Galaxy S26 FE, bringing a large display, triple-camera system and updated Galaxy AI features to the company’s Fan Edition series.

The Galaxy S26 FE will be available in Canada starting September 4, starting at $1,049. It will be available in ‘Blueberry’, ‘Graphite’ and ‘Pistachio’. Samsung is positioning the S26 FE around photography, video and AI, including several features that have previously appeared on the core S26 devices.

Notably, the Galaxy S26 FE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same as the Galaxy S26+. Samsung is using its Exynos 2500 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM. This differs from the core S26 family, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

The phone also has a 4,900mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Samsung gives the S26 FE an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, while the company is promising seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

The Galaxy S26 FE has a triple-camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel wide camera, 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There’s also a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. This is the same camera array featured on last year’s Galaxy S25 FE.

While the lenses remain the same, Samsung is bringing My FanCam to the Galaxy S series with the S26 FE. The feature, which debuted on Samsung’s latest foldable phones, automatically tracks a selected subject and keeps them centred in the frame. The company says the feature is designed to make it easier to capture social-media-ready video without constantly adjusting the camera.

The phone also supports Nightography and Super Steady Video with Horizontal Lock for steadier video recording. Samsung’s Photo Assist is also included, allowing users to edit photos using natural-language prompts.

The Galaxy S26 FE runs One UI 9 based on Android 17, with Samsung highlighting several new Galaxy AI features. Now Brief has been updated with customizable briefing cards, while Now Nudge can surface relevant suggestions across supported third-party apps and notifications.

Samsung is also expanding visual search capabilities. Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live can identify multiple items in an image at the same time. The S26 FE is therefore getting many of Samsung’s latest software features alongside the hardware upgrades, rather than simply being a cheaper version of the standard Galaxy S26.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will be available in Canada starting September 4. The phone starts at $1,049 on Samsung’s official website and at Canadian retailers.

Samsung has not positioned the FE as an entry-level phone. Instead, the company appears to be using the model to bring several of its latest camera, AI and software features to a slightly lower price point within the Galaxy S26 family.
