Apple is Dropping 7 New Hardware Products in September

Apple is gearing up for one of its most packed release schedules in years, with seven distinct hardware products confirmed to arrive in stores before the end of September (via MacRumors).

The busy month kicks off following Apple’s formal announcement of its annual fall hardware showcase, carrying the official tagline “Surprise and shine.” Scheduled for September 9, the event will serve as the launchpad for new iPhones, next-generation Apple Watches, and new AirPods.

However, the hardware momentum is already building behind the scenes. Cupertino surprised the tech industry earlier with unannounced reveals of a brand-new Mac mini powered by M6 and M5 Pro silicon alongside an upgraded Mac Studio featuring M5 Max and M5 Ultra configurations. Both desktop systems begin shipping globally on Tuesday, September 22.

The main focal point for consumers remains the upcoming iPhone unveiling. Apple is reportedly shaking up its typical release cadence by keeping its focus exclusively on flagship hardware this fall. The upcoming lineup features the iPhone 18 Pro, equipped with a streamlined Dynamic Island and the new A20 Pro chipset, alongside the top-tier iPhone 18 Pro Max, which is expected to gain exclusive camera sensor upgrades and a larger battery capacity.

Interestingly, budget-conscious buyers hoping for a base-model update will have to wait. Apple is reportedly withholding the standard iPhone 18, the entry-level iPhone 18e, and the second-generation iPhone Air until spring 2027, focusing its September launch entirely on premium buyers.

On the wearable front, Apple plans to update both tiers of its smartwatch offerings. The Apple Watch Series 12 and the rugged Apple Watch Ultra 4 are both slated to debut with enhanced health and fitness tracking capabilities powered by an upgraded S12 processor.

Additionally, references unearthed in recent macOS software builds suggest that fifth-generation AirPods are fully prepped for production and ready to launch alongside the new flagship phones.

While seven products are locked in for September shipping, an eighth release could join the lineup depending on manufacturing timelines. Apple’s highly anticipated foldable device, dubbed the iPhone Ultra, is widely expected to be showcased on stage during the September 9 presentation, though analysts caution its actual shipping date could slip into early October.
