Toronto-based fintech Wealthsimple has launched a new partner cash back program for its credit card customers, with Sephora among the first retailers offering an elevated earn rate.

Eligible Wealthsimple Visa Infinite, Visa Infinite+ and Visa Infinite Privilege cardholders can now earn a total of 5% cash back on qualifying Sephora purchases after activating the offer in the Wealthsimple app. That includes the card’s standard 2% cash back rate plus an additional 3% through the Sephora promotion.

The Sephora offer is available for purchases made both in-store and online at sephora.ca. Wealthsimple says customers must activate the offer before making a purchase, with no retroactive bonus cash back available for transactions completed before activation.

According to Wealthsimple’s terms, the Sephora promotion started October 1, 2026 and runs through October 25, 2026. The company’s support page detailing the new Credit Card Partner Cash back program was updated October 2.

The new program gives eligible cardholders additional cash back on top of their usual 2% rate when shopping with participating merchants. Along with Sephora, launch partners include Silk & Snow at 8% total cash back, Altitude Sports at 5%, and clothing brand 437 at 4%. Wealthsimple says more partners are planned over time.

To use an offer, customers need to open the Wealthsimple app, head to the Cash Back Hub or credit card page, find the partner promotion and activate it before shopping. Once a qualifying purchase settles, the additional cash back is applied automatically.

Gift card purchases are excluded, along with cash-like transactions, refunds, fees and adjustments. The partner offers are currently limited to cardholders earning Wealthsimple’s 2% base cash back rate, with 1% cash back cardholders not eligible at launch.

As for other perks, the Wealthsimple Marketplace offers 35% off Telus 5G plans, while offers from Apple have still yet to come.
