Nvidia Drops $3 Billion into Meta to Power its Muse Models
Nvidia and Meta have announced a major expansion of their technological partnership, focusing heavily on Meta’s Muse family of AI models. Both tech giants are teaming up to fine-tune training workflows, improve inference speeds, and lower the overall costs of running complex digital assistants.
Alongside this technical collaboration, Nvidia is making a massive financial commitment by investing $3 billion into Meta’s common stock offering. This funding aligns with Meta’s broader financial roadmap to scale up its AI infrastructure, cementing an alliance between the world’s leading chipmaker and one of its largest infrastructure customers.
Meta’s Muse models, built to function as intelligent personal assistants capable of handling tasks across email, calendar management, payments, and daily scheduling, have seen heavy user adoption since launch. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has framed the project as a vital stepping stone toward bringing personal superintelligence to billions of people.
To handle the immense computational demands of these next-generation agents, Meta plans to expand its hardware footprint using Nvidia’s ecosystem. The social media giant will deploy upcoming Nvidia Vera Rubin systems and Vera central processing units (CPUs). Additionally, Meta will integrate Nvidia Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4 data processing units to maximize data throughput and efficiency across its data centers.
Beyond raw computing power, the two companies are exploring ways to secure and monitor autonomous workflows. Discussions include evaluating Nvidia’s OpenShell Reference Architecture to help safeguard agent deployments.
