Atebits 2.0: Loren Brichter Returns with Upcoming Game for iOS

Loren Brichter founded Atebits and created Tweetie, one of the most popular Twitter clients at the time that featured his pleasing ‘pull to refresh’ feature that we now see everywhere. Eventually Atebits was acquired by Twitter in April of 2010 and Loren helped the latter port over features of Tweetie into the official Twitter app.

Brichter eventually left Twitter to go to work on his own stuff, and today we know one of them will be a game for iOS. The @atebits account tweeted to this blog post titled Atebits 2.0, where Loren explains his comeback:

In 2007 I left Apple and started my own company. In 2010 that company was acquired by Twitter. Today I’m giving it another shot. Say hello to atebits 2.0.

My goal is simple. Make things. Fun things, useful things, new things, improved things. Some may be popular, some may be failures. But I love creating, so that’s what I’m going to do.

The first thing will be an app and that app will be a game. Can’t wait to share it with you.

Brichter is a very talented and creative individual. We can’t wait to see what his game is all about (btw, don’t click on his tweet about the introduction of Tweetie 3.
